Typical Problems with Gas & Electric Water Heaters

• Leaking tank: Once your tank starts leaking, you’ll need to replace it. Once you notice this as a problem, call us immediately.
• Smelly water: Bacteria has infiltrated the hot water tank. This is usually a quick-fix using a hydrogen peroxide flush.
• Too little hot water: Simply adjusting the temperature at which your water remains heated will usually fix this common problem.
• No hot water at all: This can be as simple as the pilot light going out or a faulty thermocouple or pilot control valve needing replaced.
• Noisy tank: Either there is sediment in the bottom of the tank or the heating element is cycling erratically and will need repaired or replaced.
• High heating bill: If your family is using a lot of hot water, it might make sense to switch over to a new tankless water heater system.
