Water filtration systems remove metals, potentially dangerous chemicals, and their byproducts from your homes water supply. Installing one at the point where municipal or well water connects to your house is known as a whole-house water filtration system. Alternatively, you can have one installed at a specific point of use i.e. the kitchen sink to filter water from that specific outlet.
Water from municipal sources is treated and is considered ‘safe to drink.’ To treat it, however, they use chemicals which have byproducts. By having a water filtration system installed in your home, you’ll be filtering out all of those potentially harmful byproducts and will reduce all foreign materials to trace amounts… as close to 0% as you can get.
